Terms of Service
Service description
Shepherd is an attendance analytics and pastoral reporting tool for churches. It helps pastors track congregation attendance and receive AI-generated weekly summaries to support their ministry.
Account responsibility
You are responsible for all data you upload to Shepherd. By uploading congregation data, you confirm that you are authorized to do so and that the data was collected in accordance with applicable laws and the expectations of your congregation members.
Acceptable use
Shepherd is provided for church and ministry purposes only. You may not:
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute access to the service
- Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code or algorithms
- Use the service for any purpose unrelated to church or ministry management
Subscription and billing
Shepherd is billed monthly via Stripe. You may cancel your subscription at any time from the Billing page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial months.
Data ownership
You own all data you upload to Shepherd. By using the service, you grant Shepherd a limited license to process your data solely for the purpose of providing and improving the service. We do not claim ownership of your congregation's information.
AI-generated content
Pastoral summaries are generated by AI and are provided for informational purposes only. They are intended as a tool to support — not replace — your pastoral judgment. All decisions about congregant care, outreach, and ministry remain with you as the pastor.
Termination
Shepherd may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may cancel your account at any time from the Billing page or by contacting us at hello@shepherdapp.co.
Disclaimer and liability
Shepherd is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Shepherd's liability for any claim arising from your use of the service is limited to the total fees you paid in the three months preceding the claim.
Governing law
